The recommended national schedule

There is a recommended schedule for childhood immunisations. It gives children the best chance of developing immunity against these diseases in a safe and effective way and minimises their risk of catching the diseases.

Two, three and four months old
Polio By mouth
  Diphtheria, Tetanus
Pertussis and Hib (DTP-Hib)
One injection
  MenC One injection
Around 13 months Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) One injection
Three to five years (pre-school) Polio By mouth
Diphtheria, Tetanus and acellular Pertussis (DTaP) One injection
Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) One injection
10 to 14 years old (and sometimes shortly after birth) BCG (against tuberculosis) Skin test then, if needed, one injection
13 to 18 years old Tetanus and low dose diphtheria (Td) One injection
