Thinking

“Two percent of the people think; three percent of the people think they think; and ninety-five percent of the people would rather die than think.”--Shaw

[Thinking is suppressed by Big Brother using his education for slavery which puts great store on memory and academic Intelligence.  Good memory and high (academic) intelligence are two hindrances to thinking, and aids to easy hypnosis. Learning just becomes endless learning of useless facts like the iron and steel industry in southern Brazil.  The more people in this sort of education the less they think but often the more clever they think they are.  Thinking is direct access to knowledge (as is good Dowsing, hence the pseudo-skeptics debunking), not internal dialogue, and the questions you ask are the key.  Meditation (& Psychedelics) is the main method to access higher thinking.  No school teaches meditation (there is the CIA approved one called TM), and no school has a library of books to stimulate thinking.  Great thinkers like Shaw and Orwell are a threat to the mind control propaganda.  One maxim can reveal a ploy kept well hidden.]

Emotion and thinking are mutually exclusive.  Thought may be deliberately frustrated by the generation of emotion.

Some Characteristics of the Mature Intellect   The educational system develops the intellect of the child until the age of  nine or so, thereafter all that is taught is memorisation. Thus the intellectual level of  999 of every 1000 adults is stuck at this level.

Some Thoughts on thought

Fear keeps the NON-thinkers in line. Brainwashing keeps the dullards from even attempting individualism. http://www.whale.to/b/dor83.ht

The simplest method of securing a silent weapon and gaining control of the public is to keep the public undisciplined and ignorant of the basic system principles on the one hand, while keeping them confused, disorganized, and distracted with matters of no real importance on the other hand.  This is achieved by:
    1)
disengaging their minds; sabotaging their mental activities; providing a low-quality program of public education in mathematics, logic, systems design and economics; and discouraging technical creativity.
    2)
engaging their emotions, increasing their self-indulgence and their indulgence in emotional and physical activities, by:  a) unrelenting emotional affrontations and attacks (mental and emotional rape) by way of constant barrage of sex, violence, and wars in the media - especially the T.V. and the newspapers. b) giving them what they desire - in excess - "junk food for thought" - and depriving them of what they really need.
     3) rewriting history and law and subjecting the public to the deviant creation, thus being able to shift their thinking from personal needs to highly fabricated outside priorities. These preclude their interest in and discovery of the silent weapons of social automation technology.  The general rule is that there is a profit in confusion; the more confusion, the more profit. Therefore, the best approach is to create problems and then offer solutions.  Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars

"If everyone is thinking alike, someone isn't thinking."- General George Patton Jr

The most dangerous man, to any government, is the man who is able to think things out for himself... Almost inevitably, he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane and intolerable. - H. L. Mencken

What good fortune for those in power that people do not think.  —Adolph Hitler

"If humanity is to pass safely through its present crisis on earth, it will be because a majority of individuals are now doing their own thinking". Buckminster Fuller

Imagination is more important than knowledge.--Albert Einstein (1879 - 1955)
Imagination is the beginning of creation. You imagine what you desire, you will what you imagine and at last you create what you will.--George Bernard Shaw
Everything you can imagine is real.--Pablo Picasso

All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered; the point is to discover them. --Galileo Galilei

I have never met a man so ignorant that I couldn't learn something from him. --Galileo Galilei

Few people think more than two or three times a year; I have made an international reputation for myself by thinking once or twice a week.---George Bernard Shaw

"My own education has been entirely controversial: that is why I know what I am writing about; and appear eccentric to dogmatically educated Old School Ties whose heads are stuffed with obsolete shibboleths."--George Bernard Shaw
[Here Shaw points out the effect of education on thinking.]

"Only when we know little do we know everything; doubt grows with knowledge."--Goethe
"He knows nothing; and he thinks he knows everything.  That points clearly to a political career."--George Bernard Shaw.
[Again, those who have great memories and self importance are drawn to work for the political cartel.  They want people who can't see the country is run by corporations but think its a democracy, and can fool people with know-it-allness.]

"Only the small secrets need to be protected. The large ones are kept secret by public incredulity."---Marshall McLuha
"With most people unbelief in one thing is founded on blind belief in another."--Lichtenberg

"All evolution in thought and conduct must at first appear as heresy and misconduct."--George Bernard Shaw.

Many a man fails to become a thinker for the sole reason that his memory is too good.- Maxims
[Memory fills the head with facts and figures when the head needs to be empty to access higher thinking.]

There are some ideas so wrong that only a very intelligent person could believe in them. George Orwell
[Normal intelligence is not a protection against propaganda, others forms of intelligence are more useful, like common sense or emotional intelligence.]

A conclusion is the place where you got tired of thinking.- Law of Life and Nature

To see what is in front of one's nose needs a constant struggle. --George Orwell
Evil is whatever distracts. ----Franz Kafka
[Distract the mind with vast amounts of facts & figures, then with the media, TV soaps, and hide real thinking.]

"All propaganda is a lie even when its telling the truth."--G Orwell
[Genius, points out the main ploy of lying with the truth.]

"Who controls the past controls the future.  Who controls the present controls the past."--George Orwell (O'Brien in 1984)
[The main control ploy of controlling history.  Only Big Brother approved books are found in schools, libraries and bookshops.]

"Double think means the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one's mind simultaneously and accepting both of them. The party intellectual knows in which direction his memories must be altered, therefore he knows that he is playing tricks with reality; but by the exercise of DOUBLE THINK, he also satisfies himself that reality is not violated." Orwell
[Popular ploy used by the media all the time.  You can't think if you just use the media information as Double think scrambles your brain.]]

George Orwell once pointed out that the first job of a leader is to create an enemy that could strike fear into the hearts of the electorate
[Fear is Big Brothers main control ploy.  They created Bin Laden for this purpose.]

"You don’t have any other society where the educated classes are so effectively indoctrinated and controlled by a subtle propaganda system – a private system including media, intellectual opinion forming magazines and the participation of the most highly educated sections of the population. Such people ought to be referred to as "Commissars" – for that is what their essential function is – to set up and maintain a system of doctrines and beliefs which will undermine independent thought and prevent a proper understanding and analysis of national and global institutions, issues, and policies". -- Noam Chomsky

"Man is what he believes."---Chekov
[For the non-thinking, non-spiritual person, beliefs are clung to like Gods.  False idols.]

"There is one safeguard known generally to the wise, which is an advantage and security to all, but especially to democracies as against despots. What is it? Distrust." -- Demosthenes: Philippic 2, sect. 24

"A government which robs Peter to pay Paul can always depend on the support of Paul. -- George Bernard Shaw (1944)
[Peter being the taxpayer, Paul the medical cartel.]

It is a Toltec axiom that everything which has power rarely, if ever, attracts attention, for man's rational mind is geared towards academic complexity. -----Theun Mares
[Not Education for slavery.  Academic complexity is geared to control thinking and enslave the mind.]

"In George Orwell's 1984 one of EngSoc's three "truths" was "Ignorance Is Strength." Have you ever noticed how ignorant people have a great deal of strength in their convictions? Not being able to think is, at least subconsciously, terrifying. Unable to arrive at ideas and understandings on one's own, every idea must be held onto like a life preserver in the sea beside a sinking ship. Every idea is as important as every other idea because there is no mechanism to judge between them.  "Authority" (the Church-School-State Establishment) is strengthened by ignorance as well. The ignorant must rely on Authority for opinions. This keeps Authority on top. The "conspiracy" has a vested interest in maintaining this druggie-like dependence on Authority. It is a very short "hokey-pokey" little step from authoritarianism to totalitarianism."----Jerry E. Smith

Because there is so much disinformation out about the people who run this country, it must sometimes seem rather bizarre that people like me come along and say there is a satanic conspiracy of great magnitude. If Americans were as a whole critical thinkers and would challenge the propaganda that the controlled media gives them, then the false fronts and false public images of their leaders might not get written up so easily as history. There are not many critical thinkers in this nation. There are a great many intelligent people, but not a great many critical thinkers. A conspiracy of great magnitude has had this nation in its grips since the nation was founded, and the controlled press has managed to prevent the general population from finding this conspiracy out.
