"Is it the case that people believe what they want to believe in spite of the evidence. David Irving, for instance, speaks up for Hitler and denies the Holocaust despite the mountains of evidence stacked up against him."
NOT SO, NICKY. IRVING DENIES THE EXISTENCE OF HUMAN GAS CHAMBERS BECAUSE OF THE EVIDENCE AGAINST THEIR EXISTENCE, NOT IN SPITE OF SUCH EVIDENCE WHICH, IN REALITY, DOES NOT EXIST.  BBC1's 'BIG QUESTIONS' PREVENTING HONEST DEBATE
