MAFF applied to the High Court last week for permission to slaughter healthy
livestock on 8 Organic Farms in Anglesey, without proof of exposure to FMD.
This application was challenged by John Gouriet, the Chairman of 'Freedom in
Action', assisted by Burgess Salmon, Solicitors.
Last Friday the case was adjourned and this morning has been withdrawn
.
John Gouriet said,

"This result has vital implications for everyone threatewith the cull of
their healthy stock.
Animals will now have to be blood-tested and the tests found positive for the
FMD virus before they can be slaughtered".
