Barabanki (UP), Jul 22 (PTI) A child died and several others were taken ill
after they were administered measles vaccine here, officials said today.
Nine-month-old Shivansh died and several others were taken ill yesterday
when they were administered the vaccine during a drive in Avadhupr Hazipur
village in Ghungter area here, they said.
The condition of two children is serious.
Shivansh''s father has lodged a complaint against medical officer, ANM and a
health worker in this regard.
In the preliminary inquiry, health officials have admitted that the vaccine
vials were left open for long hours.
