7 Sarcastic Reasons Not To Vaccinate Your Children – Scary Mommy by Lola Lolita.  I’m pro-vaccination. I feel like it’s important to get that out of the way from the get-go. I believe in science and in the expertise of medical professionals who dedicate their lives to researching and implementing best practices when it comes to saving children from preventable diseases.

Vaccinations: It's Not YOUR Choice – Scary Mommy Alison Lee.  I’m all for vaccinations. Every last one. Bring ’em on.  Give vaccinations to my children according to schedule and make them compulsory, please. I don’t want diseases that were wiped out, through painstaking research and hard work on many people’s part, to come back, and come back as epidemics. People die from these diseases. Worse, children die from them. Teeny tiny babies, who are too young to be themselves vaccinated, depend on other people to make the right choice in vaccinating their own children when the time is right.  To vaccinate or not to vaccinate is NOT a personal choice

Her writing has appeared on Time, The Washington Post, Mommyish, and more.  I’m pro-vaccination. Hey, Trump, The Rest Of Us Believe In Vaccines, And It's Time You  by Christine Burke.  I have written about vaccines in the past, and it’s no secret that I have zero patience for anti-vaxxers. My nursing degree and years of nursing experience have lead me to the conclusion that vaccines are safe, effective, and a necessary part of any active public health program. Vaccines save lives, millions every year, in fact. And, vaccine research is continuing to evolve, thus making vaccines safer for all patient populations. In short, I don’t understand why people continue to ignore evidenced based medicine and eschew the benefits of vaccination.  I’m going to say it one more time so that even the people in the cheap seats can hear me: Vaccines are safe, effective, and do not cause autism.

8 Bullsh*t Excuses For Not Getting A Flu Shot   I feel strongly about the benefits of the flu shot, and while I can absolutely respect another parent’s right to make choices for their children’s health, I cannot respect statements with no basis in fact. If you are a parent with a medical degree from the University of Google and you complain to me that flu shots are dangerous, there’s a fair chance that I will get into an argument with you. Time and again, experts have proven that the flu shot is safe, effective, and does not cause autism or any other spectrum disorder (that’s enough, Jenny McCarthy)
